POST: GRAPHIC ARTIST (DESIGN)

We are looking for a talented Graphic Artist seeking to make a difference. He/she must be capable of delivering excellent and value-added services to our clients.

The Graphic Artist would report to the Marketing Operations Manager and would be involved with the following:
» Publication and Newsletter
» Digital Design

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
» Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
» Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, and select style and size of type.
» Use computer software to generate new images.
» Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork
» Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
» Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations and logos.
» Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for client or supervisor.
» Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients and/or supervisors and making necessary changes.
» Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.


COMPETENCY AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
i. Functional/Technical Skills
» Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
» Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
» Knowledge of the theory and techniques required to compose, produce, and perform visual arts.
» High sense of arrangement and balancing for aesthetic

ii. Behavioural/Management Development Skills
» Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
» Strong relationship building skills
» Ability to work well under pressure
» Working understanding of design software eg Adobe Photoshop, Coreldraw, Powerpoint, Quarck Express

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
» Minimum of B.Sc. (2.2) or HND (Lower Credit)
» Minimum of 5 credits in one sitting at O’ levels, including Maths and English
» At least 2 years working experience

CONTEXT/SCOPE:

The role of Instrumentation and automation technician is responsible for driving and embedding best in class asset care and maintenance systems for all electrical and automation/electronics machinery around the brewery.


The role holder possesses critical and special skills and knowledge in the unique area of instrument and automation engineering.

The role holder is a critical contributor to the overall business success and he/she maintains and delivers plant reliability to ensure optimum volume output to meet growing demand in consistent way.


The role deals with high level of sophistication and complexity in hi-technology machines


LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Key stakeholders (Internal) are Engineering Manager, Corporate Asset care Manager, Electrical and Automation Manager, Automation engineer and production services manager.


Key stakeholders (external) are Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) eg GEA, FMA, Siemens, Endress & Hauser etc.


Functional

Possesses basic knowledge of PLC Steps 5 and 7 troubleshooting
Good knowledge of new and evolving technology and wide range instrumentation and their applications
Calibration of instrumentation according to certified standards.
Conversant with Electrical Drives Control Automation systems
Best practice knowledge in Asset Care management skills
•Working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Ø  Complements the Mechanical Engineering team in the brewery to ensure optimum output
Ø  Maintain all Electrical Drives and controls on the brewery
Ø  Resolve all electrical/electronics/automation breakdowns and issues around the brewery
Ø  Drives the planned maintenance programme for all instrumentation systems around the brewery

TOP ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide instrumentation and automation solutions to breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance challenges in the brewing section(brewhouse & silo, Process Area, Filter room & RTD)

Provide instrumentation and automation solutions to breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance challenges in the Utilities section of the brewery ( Generators, Air compressors, Boilers, Water treatment, CO2 plant, Refrigeration plants etc)

Provide instrumentation and automation solutions to breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance challenges in the packaging section of the brewery.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Ø  Degree or HND in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or technical qualification from IITA.
Ø  Minimum of two years experience in a brewing or FMCG manufacturing environment directly supporting instruments, automation and PLC
Ø  Implementation of leading World Class Manufacturing related solutions.

Develop graphic user interface and generate Oracle SQL scripts to extract site build data from network group
Develop and utilize methods for evaluation and quality control of research or operational data
Collect, analyze, interpret and summarize data to generate statistical and analytical reports
Maintain records of research methods and results and back up all databases
Design and develop specific databases in Oracle, MS Access and Filmmaker for collection, tracking and reporting of data
Develop and present training programs on new database developed
Provide a wide variety of administrative support services to the department
Research new database development requirements and produce model based on the requirements
Maintain database links to ensure they are functioning properly

REQUIRED SKILLS:
At least 4 years experience comprising:
